Director

Kim Swain MA (Oxon) FCA

Kim has over 45 years of experience in the accountancy profession, the majority spent in senior positions in Big 4 firms in London (PricewaterhouseCoopers and Arthur Andersen). He has also spent time in the Public Sector as Chief Accountant of the country’s largest charity (by income) where he submitted the first ever accounts prepared under the Charities SORP.

Kim’s principal specialism has been tax and during his recent time with PricewaterhouseCoopers focussed on indirect and environmental taxes (VAT, Landfill Tax and Climate Change Levy).

Outside of work, Kim is a keen football fan and has helped his local club both as Treasurer and as financial sponsor. He does his bit for the community in voluntary financial work although he has recently retired as Treasurer of his Parochial Church Council after 18 years. Where time allows, his main other interests are music (listening and playing electric guitar – loud!), physics and the language and culture of Anglo-Saxon England.

Kirstie Jones BA (Hons) ACCA

Kirstie has worked in the profession for over 7 years and has qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant.

In this role and previously she has concentrated on audit, accounts, personal tax, VAT and general client queries.

In her spare time, she enjoys swimming and spending time with friends and family.

Tarak Uddin BA (Hons) ACCA

Tarak is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant with over 20 years experience, having worked in both practice and industry.

Initially starting off in local practice and managing a varied portfolio of SMEs, he then spent 3 years as a Management Accountant at Saint-Gobain. However, as his passion lay with SMEs, he decided to return to practice and continued working with a portfolio in accounts and tax, as well as assisting in all aspects of developing the practice.

In his spare time he enjoys travelling, is a foodie and takes part in the dance craze that is Modern Jive.

Payroll Manager/Accounts Assistant

Heather Shepherd

Heather joined Radford & Sergeant in 2013 as our Payroll Manager and has gone on to develop her career and now assists with Accounts, Personal tax returns, Company Statutory Work and VAT returns.  She is currently studying for an AAT qualification.

Prior to Heather joining us, she has run payrolls within a medium sized accountants, was a Payroll Manager for a local Television Studio and a Payroll Manager for a local recruitment company.

Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with her family and going on long walks with her little dog.

Accounts Assistant

Rhian Humphreys AAT

Rhian has worked in an accounting practice for all of her career gaining her AAT qualification.

Rhian predominantly concentrates on Accounts, VAT returns and Bookkeeping, and also assists with Company Statutory Work.

Rhian and her family enjoy exhibiting three miniature steam engines at various steam and vintage shows during the summer, along with a 10 ton Aveling & Porter steam roller called “Poppy”.
